Family Nights

Once each term on a Saturday night, we have a Family Night. Families with young children (Up to 10years old) bring their own fish and chips at 5:30pm to the downstairs hall. We eat our picnic meal, and then have activities around a theme.

 Themes in 2005 have included

·   Creepy Crawley night

·   A Treasure Hunt

·   A Light Party carnival.

 Our emphasis is on interaction and families laughing a lot! It is one team competing against another. Each team includes the whole family. Appropriate activities are chosen, and the theme is followed through. It is the highlight of our term, and is a great opportunity for church and community people to get to know each other.
We conclude at 8pm after coffee, cake and ice creams.

 For the Light Party in November we took it up a notch, with a carnival from 5 -7pm. About 120 people crowded around for a BBQ, Wuzzle the Clown, prizes, lollies, balloons and competitions.
